Catholic Charismatic Renewal

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal traces back to a 1967 retreat at Duquesne University that rekindled a spirit-filled prayer movement within the Catholic Church, which spread to Nigeria in the years that followed and now touches nearly every parish in the country.

Our chapter at Ascension leads praise and worship at the monthly Charismatic Mass, hosts a weekly prayer meeting with teaching and intercession, and organizes the parish's annual healing and deliverance retreat.

All are welcome at our weekly gathering, which is open to any parishioner seeking a deeper encounter with the Holy Spirit in prayer.
