About This Society
The Board of Lectors trains and schedules the men and women who proclaim the Scripture readings at every Mass, under the patronage of St. Jerome, the Church's great translator and student of the Word.
New lectors complete a short formation covering pronunciation, pacing, and the proper reverence due to the Sacred Scriptures before they are scheduled to read at Mass.
The Board meets monthly to prepare the reading roster and review upcoming feasts and their proper readings.
